About Us

We created this community to allow us to:

  • Create and capture consensus around standards for (inter)national best practice and guidelines for OSDC of more outputs.
  • Identify and mitigate barriers to adoption of (semi) automated OSDC tools.
  • Enhance support for training and capacity building.
  • Enable TREs to advise on creation and egress of safe ML models.
  • Future-scope and maintain alignment with other related initiatives.

Reducing Barriers to Outputs from TREs (SDC-REBOOT)

SDC-REBOOT is an interest group dedicated to sharing and developing best practices in Output Statistical Disclosure Control (OSDC) to ensure research outputs (especially AI) protect private data and keep it secure. SDC-REBOOT is driving user adoption of output-checking tools by identifying and removing barriers to practice.

Community Charter

The community convenes through a mixture of face-to-face and on-line workshops, supported by a web presence. Our planned outputs for the next year include mechanisms for capturing:  engagement with providers; requirements for training and capacity building; and processes and support for end-to-end risk assessment of AI models.

DARE UK Community Groups

DARE UK are supporting new and existing community groups to collaboratively address the needs of the UK sensitive data research community.

DARE UK (Data and Analytics Research Environments UK) is a data research infrastructure programme empowering data custodians, data scientists, and technology experts working alongside the public to deliver a national network of secure data infrastructures for better research outcomes in the UK. DARE UK is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) under the Digital Research Infrastructure Programme and led by Health Data Research (HDR UK) and ADR UK (Administrative Data Research UK).
